Robert S.

Robert S.

Robert was found at home, unresponsive in respiratory arrest, and was resuscitated at a local hospital.  He was on mechanical ventilation and then liberated from the vent with oxygen support.

Upon initial assessment, Robert had high anxiety with physical and respiratory deconditioning, lacking motivation for his future.  With the support of his team at Vibra Hospital of Southeastern Michigan, he regained his motivation and overcame his anxiety, setting a goal of getting back to better.  With positive reinforcement, education and daily therapy, he achieved his goal!

Robert learned energy conservation and work simplification tasks to ease his anxiety, and was liberated from all oxygen independence.  He participated daily in the gym program and increased his endurance to ambulate safely with a walker over 250ft.

The hardest worker in the gym, Robert gave it his all each session and left with a humble "thank you" each day.  We're so proud of Robert's success!
