In January of 2012, Mrs. Kachmer was involved in a Motor vehicle accident. She sustained multiple fractures including a left acetabular, left tibial and a right rib fracture. On top of that she sustained a liver laceration and had a right pneumothorax sending her into respiratory failure.

When she arrived at Vibra she was on a ventilator and was unable to move without maximal assistance from therapies and nursing. She immediately began rehab and received attention from physical, occupational and speech therapies. With a lot of hard work she was able to wean off of the vent. She was also able to get herself out of bed and eventually was able to begin standing. She recovered enough to be able to tolerate 3 hours of therapy at an in-patient rehab facility. Mrs. Kachmer was very pleased with the staff at Vibra, “The therapists here were absolutely wonderful. I couldn’t have done it without them. I am so thankful that I came here.”
