Ms. Scott is 66 yo female with recent closure of abdominal wound. She underwent
5 operations in the past few months secondary to necrotizing fasciitis
with abdominal pain and perineal drainage. Prior to her admission to the
TCU, Ms. Scott received treatment at Vibra LTACH. Upon her admission to
the TCU, she was dependent for all mobility and self care. She was unable
to stand due to bouts of dizziness and weakness from her hospitalizations.
At time of discharge, Ms. Scott was able to return home at walker level
and Modified Independent with basic self care and household ambulation.
She worked incredibly hard and participated with her therapies despite
her pain from her wound. Her sister and home health will be available
at home to assist with continued wound care and instrumental activities
of daily living.
