Tony Suazo arrived at Vibra Rehabilitation Hospital of Denver after having both legs amputated below-the-knee. Tony had a lot to accomplish before he could return home safely. He needed to learn to be able to get in-and-out of his wheelchair safely. He had to relearn how to move safely at home. He also needed to learn to perform everyday activities while managing phantom limb pain. With the help of his therapists, Tony learned how to be safe and independent in his home.
After a few months, Tony was fitted for his prosthetics. Walking is different with a prosthetic than it was before limb loss. Tony's first choice for rehabilitation was Vibra Rehabilitation Hospital of Denver.
Tony was always eager to work with his therapists and motivated to make progress. He was always doing his exercises and set new goals once he met his existing goals. Tony continued to push himself to walk further distances in his new prosthetics. Soon, he progressed from the parallel bars to a walker.
Dedication to rehab and a positive attitude drove Tony's success. Tony discharged from Vibra able to walk and go up-and-down stairs on his new prosthetic legs.Posted By
