Each day, Linda Evans delivers the mail to the people of Michigan City, IN. Linda, 41, takes pride in her job as a mail carrier. After completing her deliveries, Linda returns home to her loving family. A passionate animal lover and rescuer, her family includes three dogs: Pepper, Murphy, and Puck.
While on her mail route one day, Linda was involved in a serious car accident. The trauma Linda suffered in the accident left Linda with multiple life-altering injuries. Longing to return to the life she loved, Linda came to Vibra Hospital of Northwestern Indiana to regain her independence.
At Vibra, Linda had an incredible support system surrounding her. Her daughter Raven, 22, and son Connor, 9, cheered her on constantly. Linda's devoted parents were endlessly at her bedside. This support gave Linda the foundation she needed to work hard at her recovery.
And that's exactly what Linda did.
Linda's treatment team worked with her vigorously to build up her strength and independence. She particularly thanked her physical therapist, Romeo, who Linda described as "wonderful." She also praised her RN, Travis, and her occupational therapists, Belinda and Angie.
The collaboration between Linda's treatment team, her supportive family, and her own hard work paid off. Preparing to discharge, Linda plans to continue rehabilitation to further her recovery. She hopes to continue working as a clerk at the post office.Posted By
