Southern Indiana Rehabilitation Hospital Welcomes New Medical Director

Southern Indiana Rehabilitation Hospital (“SIRH”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Golnaz Nouri, D.O., as the hospital’s new medical director.

As medical director, Dr. Nouri will oversee SIRH’s medical and rehabilitative services and lead the hospital’s team in the treatment of patients who are recovering from disabling injuries and illnesses. Dr. Nouri assumed her role with SIRH on October 2, 2019.

“We are thrilled to have Dr. Nouri join our leadership team and medical staff,” stated the hospital’s CEO, William Boso, FACHE. “Her rehab experience and extensive training will position us to continue our vision of excellence as the elite provider of physical rehabilitation in the area.”

A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, Dr. Nouri went on to attend medical school at Western University of Health Sciences, Pomona, California. She completed her residency at UT Health San Antonio, where she trained in all aspects of physical medicine and rehabilitation and served as chief resident of the Rehabilitation Medicine Residency Training Program.

Dr. Nouri’s clinical interests include neuromuscular medicine and medically complex inpatient rehabilitation, including the treatment of conditions such as traumatic and acquired brain injury, stroke, and spinal cord injury. Dr. Nouri is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
