After undergoing a liver transplant, Ethene Jones needed to get stronger. A safe return home meant regaining her independence. To achieve that goal, she admitted to Vibra Specialty Hospital of DeSoto.
When Ethene arrived at Vibra, she faced several functional deficiencies. At Vibra, Ethene worked on bed-to-chair transfers, gait training, and activities of daily living. Activities of daily living include tasks such as grooming, bathing, and toileting. To return home safely, Ethene needed to become independent in these tasks.
For Ethene, there was never a doubt she would achieve her goals. Ethene's can-do personality drove her recovery at Vibra. During each treatment session, she willed herself to give her all. When Ethene wasn't in therapy, you could find her walking the halls with staff. She was determined to regain her strength and independence.
Upon completion of her stay, Ethene discharged home with home health services. Thanks to her determination, Ethene returned home with her independence.Posted By
