When Oma Tripplett arrived at Vibra Hospital of Northern California, she had a long road ahead to recovery. Oma suffered from acute respiratory failure, requiring a ventilator to breathe. She was also severely deconditioned. But she arrived with an unwavering determination to get back to her prior level of independence

When Oma admitted to Vibra, she required moderate assistance for all mobility. Each day, Oma pushed harder than the day before. She let nothing deter her from her overall goal of returning home.

After three weeks of hard work with her interdisciplinary care team, Oma returned home with family. She required only minimal oxygen support at the time of discharge. Oma is able to move freely around her house, and can cover moderate distances with the use of a walker.

Oma, your continuous positive attitude, and your determination to grow stronger and more independent each day was truly remarkable to watch. It was a joy to take part in your recovery and your journey back home.
