Kelly Underwood was born with spina bifida and has been wheelchair bound most of her life. Despite this she has been a very independent woman!
Recently, Kelly underwent a below-the-knee amputation. Following amputation, Kelly admitted to Vibra Rehabilitation Hospital of Denver.
On admission, Kelly required assistance with activities of daily living and transfers. She was also generally deconditioned from her illness.
During Kelly's stay, she worked very hard with occupational and physical therapy. She diligently practiced her activities of daily living, completed exercises, and worked on transferring to-and-from her wheelchair. Following a 13-day period of rehabilitation, Kelly is back to her previous level of independence. She is now ready to return home.
"When I came into Vibra Rehabilitation Hospital I did not believe I could do it," Kelly stated. "With the help of the amazing nurses and therapists, I feel so much better, stronger and confident in my ability to go home!”
Equipped with knowledge, skills and confidence, Kelly is ready to get back to her life!Posted By
