Mr. Robert Yale was living an active lifestyle in retirement. He was hunting in the mountains of West Virginia in late November of 2014. He just added a 4 point buck to his collection. But then on December 22nd Bob had a major heart attack. Following surgery to place a stint in one of his arteries, Bob went into respiratory failure.
In January, he began his journey to recovery at Vibra Hospital - Trumbull Campus. Upon arrival, Bob was completely dependent. Bob was still needing assistance to breathe, was unable to swallow or talk, and also was unable to sit unsupported at the edge of the bed.
Following weeks of hard work and determination Bob began to recover. He was able to stand up and walk on his own with the assistance of a walker. He was obviously breathing on his own without the assistance of oxygen. He had even returned to a normal diet. Upon discharge Bob was sent to a rehab hospital for a couple of weeks to help him get ready for his return home.
Bob wanted to say that he couldn’t have done it without the assistance of his faith in God. Bob is very
thankful to the entire nursing and rehab staff at the hospital. He and his wife have made some life long friends at the hospital! Just another success story from Vibra Hospital 9th Floor of Trumbull Memorial Hospital!!
