In November of 2012, Mrs. Bischoff went for elective surgery. Following that surgery her condition got progressively worst. Soon Norma would be in respiratory failure. After a short stay in the hospital she was sent to Vibra.
On December 11th she arrived at Vibra on a ventilator and requiring maximal assistance from therapies and nursing. She began rehab upon arrival and everyday she began to get a little stronger. With the help of respiratory and speech therapy she was able to wean from the ventilator. With the help of physical and occupational therapies, she was able to be up and moving again. She was eventually able to begin walking on her own without assistance. Norma says that she is anxious to get rid of her walker. She says that she no longer works but that she loves to shop and go out for lunch. “Thanks to the crew here at Vibra, I will be able to do that again. They have a truly wonderful staff, I am so thankful.”Posted By
