Mrs. Karen Binion had lived a very active lifestyle at home. She cooked, cleaned and helped to take care of her grandchildren. However in June of 2015 she became very ill. She would end up in the hospital and would undergo an Esophageal Resection. She became very ill and extremely debilitated.
Upon her arrival at Vibra, Karen was very weak. She had not been eating, was very fatigued and was losing weight rapidly. The rehab staff at Vibra Hospital – Trumbull Campus quickly got to work. Karen received physical, occupational and speech therapy services on a daily basis.
Within weeks Karen began to regain her strength. Her appetite had returned and she could soon be found walking the halls at the hospital on her own. She would soon become completely independent and then was ready to return home. Upon discharge Karen said, “I couldn’t have done it without the wonderful staff here at Vibra. They gave me life back and everyone here was so nice. I am very thankful that I came here.”Posted By
