In September of 2013 Mrs. Holmes suffered a heart attack while at home. In the hospital she underwent a CABG, and following this surgery, she went into respiratory failure.
On October 4th she arrived at Vibra still having difficulty breathing and requiring maximal assistance from therapies and nursing. She began rehab upon arrival and everyday she began to get a little better. With the help of respiratory and speech therapy she was able to breathe without assistance. She was eventually up and moving again with the help of physical and occupational therapies. She will require further out-patient therapy for her lower extremity strength but she is excited about returning home. Helen had this to say, “I am really thankful for the rehab staff here at Vibra. I never thought I would be able to return to my normal life again, but with their help I am going home. I am so thankful for everything they have done.”Posted By
