Tara B.

Tara Burdick arrived to LTAC ventilator dependent, requiring moderate assistance for mobility, and required dialysis three days per week. Day by day, Ms. Burdick worked hard to improve her mobility and ADLs with therapy. Within two weeks of her admission, Ms. Burdick was successfully decannulated. At the time of discharge, Ms. Burdick was ambulating independently with no assistive device and no oxygen support. She was able to perform all ADLs independently and no longer required dialysis. Ms. Burdick was able to accomplish all of this in just three weeks. AMAZING! She is a true testament that hard work and a strong interdisciplinary team can help any patient reach their goals. Thank you, Ms. Burdick for always striving to be your best and smiling while you do it. It was a true joy to take part in your recovery.
